EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
JREC's wholesale internet provider, NRTC, will be discontinuing its Viasat satellite internet reseller program on July 31, 2026. All JREC subscribers will need to have changed their billing, support, and ongoing service to Viasat themselves or to another provider by this date. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
STEPS TO TAKE TO SWITCH INTERNET PROVIDERS:
1.) Switch directly to Viasat by submitting your request today. SUBMIT REQUEST
- Be sure to check the button at the bottom of the page that reads: "I paid for the equipment in full and own it outright."
- This will allow you to keep the same equipment and avoid paying a $15/mo. lease fee.
- DO NOT CALL any of the numbers previously provided or Viasat directly as they will not qualify you for this option.
- As a JREC member you purchased your equipment so you qualify for their PREPAID LEASE agreement and that is why it is important you follow the above steps so again you can avoid changing out equipment or paying the $15 lease fee.
2.) Switch to a local broadband provider.
3.) Explore alternatives like Starlink, 5G home internet (AT&T or Verizon), or fixed wireless.
4.) Email services will be discontinued as of June 30, 2026.
